Parent Advisory Group

The Parent Advisory Group is organized to provide a mechanism for parents and faculty to share information and establish strong relationships that promote the educational health and well-being of the students attending the Cape Cod Collaborative Alternative Education Program.

The Parent Advisory Group provides education and support to parents focusing on topics that are important in fostering parent/school relationships and relevent to issues affecting our youth today.

Some topics include:

  • Meet the faculty/Open house
  • Bullying/Cyber bullying
  • De-escalating strategies
  • Crisis interventions
  • Community resources
  • Parenting strategies
  • MCAS testing
  • Parent/Caregiver CPI training
  • Summer planning

Joining the Parent Advisory Group provides a forum for faculty and parents to work together, allowing us to:

  • Explore issues affecting our students in and out of school.
  • Participate in a group that focuses on exchanging information.
  • Provides updates on what is happening in the school.
  • Get to know the faculty that works with your child.

Parent Advisory Groups are scheduled monthly September through May.
