Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) – Waypoint

Waypoint Academy is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our educational team. The successful candidate will work with students of all ages to assess, develop, and implement behavior intervention plans. This role requires a deep understanding of behavioral principles and the ability to apply these principles in an educational setting to promote positive student outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive functional behavior assessments (FBAs) for students exhibiting challenging behaviors.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other educational staff to support the implementation of BIPs.
  • Provide training and professional development for staff on behavior management techniques and strategies.
  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, progress monitoring, and other relevant activities.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as needed to provide input on behavioral goals.
  • Stay current with best practices in behavior analysis through ongoing professional development.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
  • Current Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Strong knowledge of functional behavior assessment methodologies and behavior intervention plan development.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, administrators, parents, and students.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience providing training or professional development to educators.
  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
